                                                                   About  Team =FFL=

Team =FFL= was started April 26 of 1998, the team was started by 4 friends that enjoyed online FPS games. The 4 founding members were Jaguar, Zulu, Roach and Turner.  2 of the founding members were friends from a group called =2sk= they had just recently dissolved, the other 2 were relatively new to the world of online gaming and had been playing as lone wolves. The 4 friends found that they spent most of there time online gaming together, so they decided to create Team FFL.

The original goal of creating FFL was to create an environment for mature and experienced gamers that wish to have fun and value honor and friendship above all else. Most online FPS groups pick some organization to emulate and to act as the basic structure for that group, in most cases its some military, or police unit. In our case after much research we decided upon the French Foreign Legion. This was decided for the following reasons:

1. They were a special military unit rich in history,

2. They welcome people regardless of race or country of origin.

3. We admired the code of conduct that they live and die by. See here: link

So it was decided to use this outstanding organization as the team figurehead, hence the name Fighting Foreign Legion.

When FFL was initially created we did not intend for it to become much larger than the original members and a few close friends and family members, however over time we seem to have drawn like minded gamers that hold the same values as the team was created on. In the past 7+ years we have managed a gradual and consistent growth to the current membership of today. Also in that time we have managed to remain an active and respected part of the online gaming community, this is do to the conduct of out members.

FFL does not actively recruit as most online groups do, we tend to only invite people that we have a long history of gaming with and that have shown that they value the same code of conduct as the existing membership. However we do invite anyone over 18 that may be interested to apply, be forewarned however, it can be a very lengthy process for individuals we have no experience gaming with. The process can take 30 days at a minimum, and the applicant must receive a unanimous vote by all current members to be granted full membership.

If you wish to join us in some online gaming our members can be found playing the following games: Raven Shield, Bf2, Americas Army and a few others that we are testing for future use. The best way to find us would be to join our forum and make a post regarding your interest and background.

Thank you for visiting our site we hope you enjoy your visit.
